Sea Foam Knitted Necklace

Gift Ideas, Jewellery, Knit accessories, handmade

After browsing the net last night for knitted jewellery patterns, I got inspired. I had an idea of my own, and so, I created my own knitted necklace.

Silver Knitted Bracelet

Gift Ideas, Jewellery, Knit accessories, Wire Knitting, handmade

Thanks to the helpful crafters at Crafteroo.co.uk, I found a fantastic little tutorial about knitting with wire last night.

It gave me a few tips, and an hour or two later, I had the result - a lovely knitted silver bracelet. This was great fun to knit, and once I added the extension chain and clasp, it turned into quite a stylish piece. I plan to make many more…

Chunky Yarn - I love it!!

Jewellery, Knit accessories, earrings, handmade

Okay, I’ve fallen in love….

This yarn is gorgeous - it’s called Rustica. I bought two skeins of it yesterday, and I’ve already made a NeckWarmer. I’m currently in the process of making a scarf out of it, too! I added three wooden toggles, which can slip through the yarn to secure it.

It has created a thirst for more chunky yarn… I’ve been trawling Etsy for suppliers, and I’m off to check out an awesome yarn shop on Friday. Oh, and those are my earrings, too! I am considering putting this NeckWarmer up for sale on Etsy… but I love it too much! I may have to make another to sell…

Knit Accessories - Cuffs!

Knit accessories, handmade

I’ve finally gotten around to taking photos of my most recent few cuff designs. These will all be for sale up on Etsy soon - the Ocean Net cuff already is.

Red Soil and Sky Cuff - I love these colours - they remind me of the Outback.

Shades of Purple Cuff - Fastened with Brass Snaps.

I love making these! They are fun, simple and stylish… I wore the first one to work today :)

My First Knitted Pendant

Jewellery, handmade, knit pendants

This was frustrating to make, but rewarding! I’ve already made a second, and plan on making many, many more!

It is made from silver-plated wire, using little glass beads as accents. I’ve strung it on a necklace made from strands of bamboo yarn - very soft and silky! The loop on this one is a little clumsy, but I’ve fixed that issue in my next one. I really like the organised chaos of the intertwining wire - it almost has an organic feel to it.

This one is not for sale, but I will have some up on Etsy over the next few weeks, hopefully!

ShopHandmade - another way to shop for handmade goods online

handmade

I have been starting to put my creations up for sale on Etsy.com. It’s a fantasic site, and is very cheap and easy to use - not to mention you are being connected with a huge number of byers.

However, I’ve also discovered another site - that’s totally free - on which I can list my handmade goods. It’s called ShopHandmade, and it’s still only at the beta testing stage. Therefore, it’s new, and there’s not much of a client base - but, I figure why not give it a go, get in on the ground floor! When it doesn’t cost me anything but a bit of time, and hopefully exposes my work to more people, it’s got to be a good thing.

If you are a creator of handmade goods, check it out! It’s totally free at the moment, and so risk-free. If you’re a buyer, get over there and start browsing! I plan on listing all of the goods I have on Etsy there as well for the same price. To check out my store, click here.

Earrings - the newest addition to Epheriell Designs

Jewellery, earrings

Well, my first few sets of earrings are now up for sale on Etsy!

Here are a few examples. First, the lovely Blue Butterfly earrings, which would make a lovely set with my Earth and Sky NeckWrap!

Also, my Turquoise Glass Earrings… can we see a colour theme here?

And, to change theme, my Golden Orient Earrings.

This is just a small selection of what I have made. These and a number of others are for sale on Etsy - and I’m busy making, photographing, and listing more each day!
